Taking Fern-C has the advantage over taking other forms of vitamin C, ascorbic acid for example, in that it is less acidic, making Fern-C safe for those who have easily upset stomachs and ulcers. Unlike ascorbic acid, which becomes more effective only when taken after a meal, Fern-C can be taken on an empty stomach.
